Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or family.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and personal preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, read, and accompany clients to appointments or social outings to reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light cleaning, laundry, and errands to help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move around the house safely, transfer from bed to wheelchair, and provide assistance with walking.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the client, their family, and our healthcare team, reporting any concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification is preferred; we can help you obtain this upon hiring.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to help others and the patience to work with diverse needs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods as required by the job.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED is required.
