Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Light housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying)
- Transport clients to medical appointments and errands
- Administer medications under supervision
Qualifications
- New York State HHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year home health or caregiver experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to client locations
- Background check clearance
