Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient hygiene.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation as needed.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and provide transportation assistance when required.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to improve the patient's quality of life.
- Administer medication reminders according to the physician's care plan.
- Document daily activities and care provided accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification or CNA license is preferred.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test.
- CPR/BLS certification is a plus but not mandatory for new hires.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
