Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs).
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and reporting changes to the nursing team.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure a clean, safe living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the patient's quality of life.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Document daily care activities and incident reports accurately in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or equivalent experience).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes throughout the Los Angeles area.
