Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for patients.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Manage inventory levels and order pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions regarding medications and health services.
- Assist the pharmacist with clinical tasks and regulatory compliance.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) is highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus.
