As a Home Health Aide with us, you will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes. We pride ourselves on providing top-tier support to seniors and individuals recovering from illness or surgery.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Reminders: Provide timely reminders and documentation regarding medication schedules.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments or community outings as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) program is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing is a plus but not always required.
- License: Current state certification (CNA/HHA) and valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
