Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and walking to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or case manager immediately.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Document daily care logs and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide) license in the State of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, including the ability to assist with transfers (up to 50 lbs).
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation.
