Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for efficient patient flow
- Take accurate patient medical histories and maintain digital records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and aftercare procedures
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless appointment scheduling
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant License (RDA or DA required)
- Certification from accredited dental assisting program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with multitasking
