Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Accurate patient preparation and infection control protocols implementation
- Digital radiography imaging and diagnostic capture
- Instrument sterilization and OSHA compliance management
- Efficient patient scheduling and clinical workflow coordination
- Dental charting using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Emergency response coordination during patient procedures
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography systems (X-rays, CBCT)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal date
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and equipment
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
