Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately prepare and package prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage drug expiration dates, and restock pharmacy shelves efficiently.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering questions and processing insurance claims accurately.
- Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure all labeling is legible and compliant with state regulations.
- Medication Distribution: Assist in the dispensing of medications to patients and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy management software and basic computer operations.
