Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive phone and in-person assessments of patient symptoms to determine the level of medical urgency.
- Provide accurate medical advice, treatment plans, and referrals to appropriate specialists or facilities.
- Document all interactions accurately and promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high-volume patient calls during peak hours while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Follow up with patients as needed to ensure treatment compliance and resolve outstanding concerns.
- Stay updated on current clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage, urgent care, or call center nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to remain composed and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
