Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with precision
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring when certified
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
- Train new team members on clinic protocols and software systems
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Dental Assistant certification or DANB credentials required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification and radiology license
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Exceptional chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Spanish bilingualism preferred but not required
