Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Implement OSHA-compliant sterilization protocols and infection control
- Coordinate patient flow and chair turnover between appointments
- Maintain accurate dental charts and electronic health records
- Train new dental assistants on practice protocols
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current NJ Dental Assistant Radiology certification required
- Minimum 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft and Dexis software systems
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and restorative materials
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of maintaining HIPAA compliance
