Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately with meticulous attention to prescription details
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians on protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacists on sterile compounding and IV preparations
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Utilimize Epic EMR for medication dispensing documentation
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- Proficiency in medication compounding and sterile techniques
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulatory standards
- Experience with pharmacy inventory management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
