Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Manage prescription processing workflow and prioritize urgent medications
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Maintain precise medication inventory and conduct regular audits
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription management
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
