Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to state and federal regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Mentor and train pharmacy technicians on procedures and best practices
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy safety protocols
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize patient care workflows
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Basic math proficiency for compounding and dosing calculations
- Valid CPR certification preferred
