Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% accuracy
- Lead inventory management and automated dispensing systems
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and state pharmacy regulations
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives
- Implement quality control protocols for medication safety
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 3 years hospital/retail experience
- CPhT certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of IV compounding and sterile preparation
- Advanced proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced clinical environments
