Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Perform venipuncture and point-of-care testing (POCT) as required.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and ensure a seamless experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide clear instructions and support.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Medical Assisting is a plus.
