Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital sign measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, ensuring accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and procedures, providing support as needed.
- Administer medications and injections under strict physician supervision and according to established protocols.
- Greet patients and visitors with a professional demeanor, managing check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilization in all clinical areas.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation may be required.
