Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their identity and insurance information upon arrival.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with draping and positioning.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during clinical procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Instruct patients on post-procedure care and medications as prescribed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification preferred, but we offer training for qualified candidates.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with medical software is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Must possess a valid Illinois driverβs license and reliable transportation.
