Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and ensure proper inventory of medical supplies
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence professionally
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification or registered MA
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- CPR certification (must maintain current status)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
