Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including medical history and vital signs, ensuring accuracy and privacy.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure operating rooms or exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers and in strict accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) efficiently, updating patient charts and maintaining documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and providing instructions regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA certification preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
