Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration checks.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and procedures.
- Manage patient intake, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and verifying insurance information.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns with empathy.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by qualified healthcare providers.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and test results.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to lift and transport patients safely and adhere to strict HIPAA privacy regulations.
