Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history documentation with extreme accuracy.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards in all clinical areas.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are stocked and ready.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate patient appointments and communicate effectively with patients via phone and in-person.
- Process laboratory specimens and ensure accurate data entry into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients of all backgrounds.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Valid Oklahoma state driver's license and clean driving record.
