Responsibilities
- Conduct Triage Assessments: Evaluate patient symptoms via phone, email, or secure messaging to determine the urgency of care needed.
- Provide Medical Guidance: Offer evidence-based advice on treatment plans, symptom management, and when to seek emergency services.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient interactions, assessments, and care plans within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other care team members to ensure seamless patient continuity.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on preventative health measures and chronic disease management.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in triage or telehealth settings.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent verbal communication skills, and proficiency with EMR/EHR software.
- Adaptability: Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, accurate clinical decisions.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
