Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process, including updating patient records.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis, following strict safety protocols.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist with patient billing and insurance verification to streamline the administrative process.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
