Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, injections, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
- Administer medications and treatments under provider supervision
- Maintain exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Active CPR certification and BLS certification
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including occasional weekends
