Responsibilities
- <ul>
- <li>Review and verify patient demographics and medical records for accuracy.</li>
- <li>Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance carriers (CMS-1500 form).</li>
- <li>Follow up on denied or delayed claims to ensure timely reimbursement.</li>
- <li>Maintain and update patient billing records and financial databases.</li>
- <li>Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans.</li>
- <li>Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards.</li>

Qualifications
- <ul>
- <li>High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Billing preferred.</li>
- <li>Certification (CPC, CCS-P, or RHIT) is a strong plus.</li>
- <li>1-3 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.</li>
- <li>Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.</li>
- <li>Experience with EMR/EHR software (Epic, AthenaHealth, or Cerner).</li>
- <li>Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.</li>
