Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens following strict protocol standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked phlebotomy stations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
- Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during blood draws
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior phlebotomy experience required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Valid CPR certification (will be provided if not already certified)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication skills and empathy for diverse patient populations
- Willingness to complete company-paid training program
