Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and code patient demographics and insurance information for claims submission.
- Submit and follow up on claims with insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
- Manage accounts receivable, including posting payments and resolving denials.
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance providers to resolve billing inquiries.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal billing protocols.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to track patient billing status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Billing or Health Administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in medical billing or a strong willingness to learn through our paid training program.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software.
