Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry and chairside support
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and digital chart documentation
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain clinic supply organization
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidential patient record management
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant X-Ray License (RDA or EFDA)
- Minimum 2 years chairside dental assisting experience
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited provider
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays (20-25 hrs/week)
