Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs as required.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and coordinating scheduling.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning and handing instruments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and operatory environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Dental Assistant license in Texas preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, patient demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
