Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and digital images as directed by the dentist.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols for all dental instruments.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule appointments.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program is preferred.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is a plus.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly desirable.
- Valid Ohio dental assisting license (if applicable to the specific role requirements).
