Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatment, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop digital or conventional dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and prepare treatment plans.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state certification.
- Active Dental Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) preferred.
