Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation as directed by the care plan.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transferring patients to and from bed or wheelchair.
- Administer medications and remind clients to take their prescribed medications.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document daily care activities and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certificate as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
