Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake screenings, measure vital signs, and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification processes.
- Maintain a sterile and organized clinical environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results and treatment instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with experience in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
