Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and discrepancies through strategic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports monthly
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services correctly
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing systems efficiently
Qualifications
- 1+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certification (CPC, CCS-P, or CMA) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Expert knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payers
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems (Epic preferred)
