We are looking for a proactive individual who can navigate complex insurance codes and ensure timely reimbursement for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify patient insurance information to ensure accuracy.
- Process medical claims (HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10) accurately and within regulatory timelines.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing denials effectively.
- Manage patient billing inquiries and provide clear, professional explanations.
- Maintain up-to-date records of billing activities and generate financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Billing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Certification (CPC, CIMA, RHIT, or RHIA) is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Proficiency with medical billing software (e.g., AthenaHealth, Epic, or Cerner).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
