As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room functions smoothly and patients receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functioning correctly.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operations by passing instruments and materials.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in the patient's condition.
- Document patient medical histories and surgical procedures accurately.
- Arrange and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or similar credential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and sterile techniques.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
