As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications following strict safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Assist the Pharmacist in compounding and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, processing payments, and resolving concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred; state licensure is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medication safety standards (e.g., HIPAA, KAR).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
