Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and order processing
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification required
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Valid DC pharmacy technician license
