Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure billing accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the pharmacist in the compounding of medications and answering patient questions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred.
- Active Alaska Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required.
