Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing to patients.
- Verify patient information, prescription details, and insurance coverage to ensure compliance.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and auditing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service in a busy retail or hospital setting.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions at the pharmacy counter.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with FDA and state regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure seamless medication delivery.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Registration with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
