Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions for dispensing according to legal and company standards.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phones, processing payments, and addressing patient inquiries.
- Assist the pharmacist with medication compounding and technical tasks.
- Process insurance claims and handle returns and exchanges efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management systems.
