Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and package prescription orders under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering pharmaceutical supplies, and perform monthly inventory counts.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering questions, processing payments, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy board laws, and company safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, prescription histories, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is a plus.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent mathematical skills, and proficiency with computer systems.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and the pharmacy team.
