- Prescription Fulfillment: Accurately prepare and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Customer Service: Greet patients, answer inquiries, and provide medication counseling to ensure patient understanding.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming deliveries, and maintain an organized pharmacy storage area.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims efficiently to minimize delays in service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular checks to ensure all labeling and documentation is accurate.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred (or eligibility to obtain).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle sensitive medical information with extreme precision and confidentiality.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
