Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions accurately, verifying all patient information and dosage instructions.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical products.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding medications and answering patient inquiries regarding prescriptions.
- Process insurance claims and handle returns or refunds according to company policy.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and safety standards.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software and scanning equipment efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification is mandatory.
- Valid Pharmacist Technician license in the state of Texas.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
