Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications according to physician orders and legal regulations.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Process insurance claims and handle payments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Qualifications
- Current, unexpired Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software systems is a plus.
