Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription workflow from intake to final verification
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise inventory control and medication storage protocols
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
