Responsibilities
- Process and prepare prescription medications for patients accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure billing accuracy.
- Retrieve, count, and measure medications to verify correct dosages.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and order pharmacy supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering medication questions and resolving concerns.
- Assist pharmacists with maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, drug interactions, and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
